Matapihi
Matapihi - at www.matapihi.org.nz
- is the first National Digital Forum collaborative project.
Matapihi is a window onto the heritage collections of New
Zealand's archives, galleries, libraries and museums. It provides a single point of access for over 100,000 selected films, images, sounds and objects. It is similar in concept to Picture Australia and
Images Canada.

The National Digital Forum, in working towards collectively building New Zealand’s culture and heritage online, holds an annual conference. The conference is typically held in November and focuses on the digital world as it relates to museums, archives, and libraries. It is an opportunity for memory institutions across the nation to come together, to share, learn from and inspire each other.
