Image Permanence Institute (IPI)

Archives New Zealand - S6 Digitisation Standard (Jan-07)
This Standard covers all aspects of re-formatting paper or other analogue records into electronic form through scanning or imaging processes. It is for use in the design and conduct of responsible digitisation by all organisations which are covered by the Public Records Act 2005, and applies to public offices and local authorities.

Electronic Resource Preservation and Access Network (ERPANET)
This recently established European organisation aims to raise awareness
and offer training on digital preservation. Director Seamus Ross has
visited NZ to talk about ERPANET several times. Useful summaries and
documentation from training events on digitisation, XML as a preservation
strategy, and long-term preservation of databases.
