Archives New Zealand - S6 Digitisation Standard (Jan-07)

This Standard covers all aspects of re-formatting paper or other analogue records into electronic form through scanning or imaging processes. It is for use in the design and conduct of responsible digitisation by all organisations which are covered by the Public Records Act 2005, and applies to public offices and local authorities.

The DPC was established in 2001 to action digital preservation in the UK. They now work closely with PADI.

Electronic Resource Preservation and Access Network (ERPANET)
This recently established European organisation aims to raise awareness and offer training on digital preservation. Director Seamus Ross has visited NZ to talk about ERPANET several times.
